Hydraulic Accumulators

Filter our hydraulic and pneumatic system components by category, brand or product name.

10 PRODUCTS (FILTERED)

A hydraulic accumulator stores incompressible oil against a compressible gas cushion, usually nitrogen, and gives the circuit an energy reserve. It does three jobs at once: it damps the pressure pulses created by the pump or by valve switching, it supplies short peak flow so that a smaller pump can be selected, and it holds a reserve that can complete a movement or hold a load when power is lost. The catalogue lists ADB-A series diaphragm accumulators. Volume steps are 0.075, 0.25, 0.32, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.4, 2, 2.8 and 3.5 litres, and every step is rated at 250 bar working pressure. The diaphragm type suits low volume, high cycle pulsation damping duty; it is more compact than bladder types and more flexible about mounting position. Selection is not only about volume: pre-charge gas pressure decides the outcome. If the pre-charge is not set below the minimum working pressure, the accumulator neither stores energy nor protects its diaphragm. Because this is pressurised gas equipment, the circuit must always be depressurised before installation and maintenance. Send us the volume and working pressure you need and we will quote the right size.
