Hydraulic Motors

Hydraulic motors turn the energy of pressurised fluid into continuous rotation and torque: speed follows flow rate, while output torque rises with the pressure difference between inlet and outlet. Orbital (gerotor) motors form the bulk of this group; the orbiting gear set delivers high torque at low speed without a separate gearbox. The catalogue lists the BMS, BMH, BMT and BMV series. Catalogue figures span roughly 155–1950 rpm with shaft diameters from 16 to 50 mm, in splined or tapered shaft form. For heavier duty, the JMDG 5-300 and JMDG 6-500 piston motors are available. Where the drive has to be matched to the load, RE series planetary gearbox combinations reduce speed and raise output torque. Motor selection weighs displacement, continuous and peak pressure, drain line requirement and radial and axial shaft loads together. In crane, winch and slewing applications where the load can drive the motor, braking and safety components must not be left out: ZDM series motor brakes are listed with 25 and 32 mm shaft interfaces, and the DCVB120 dual relief valve is offered for motor protection in the same group.
